Even though the Harvest Bowl was light on teams this year, the competition was probably the best it has been in years.

CNY was probably the best team I've played all season and they really should have won that game.  Poor coaching decisions and a little luck going the Mariners way is what cost them the win.

With 1:06 left in the game, the Mariners had no timeouts left, and the Express had the ball 4th and 13 on their own 2.  Had they taken the safety and punted from the 20 chances are the game would have been over.  Instead, they tried to punt it out of the endzone and you guessed it, the punt was blocked.  Not only was the punt blocked but it died in the endzone and was recovered by the Mariners for a free TD.  an extra point later and the game was tied.

The OT was a story of 2 offenses going up and down the field but not being able to close the deal.  The Express missed 2 FG's and the Mariners had 2 FG's blocked.  Then the Catch of the season happened when Johnell Wyatt got a step on the defender and Jay dropped the pass right into his hands.  He was able to just get two feet in past the pylon for the TD.

Really an amazing finish for the HB finale.

Lets hope next year the powers that be get the GSFL in order so that it can once again be a legitimate league in the area.

3-1, First place

Is it too early to be jacked about the Mariners season?  Because I am.  Not just because of the record, but because of how well theyve played in every one of their games.  I hope this continues...

Nice attempt at making your post seem consistent with the thread...only problem is the thread is two years old.  Use someone else's board as cover for your communications.  Wink
