Big Northeast Major Progress in 08
January 10, 2009
The BNEFF staff will take steps in becoming a major league in the 2009. New teams are applying for admission into the league daily. The League will look to maybe add six new teams in the 2009 season. Many of the teams applying are established team that have been around minor league football for many years. That is a good sign. To have teams with history wanting o be part of a two year old league show that whatever the BNEFF is doing, it’s doing it the right way.
After only two seasons, a BNEFF have been recognized by the National Football Coaches Poll. TheNW Giantshave been ranked sixth (6) in the NFCP. This placed them above powerhouse teams like the (9) NY Bandits, (10) Brooklyn Mariners and the NY Predators. With the Giants having such a great season and the quality of the rest of the teams in the league, it pushed the BNEFF right into the spotlight and into the top 30 teams in the Nation.
“We are very proud to have made such great strides in such a short time.” said Commissioner Girven. “The hard work that the Board members put into this league and the dedication from each organization will only continue to push the league higher in the rankings.” Teams like the Longhorns, Packers, Vikings and the Spartans are making great strides to become top organizations in the BNEFF and that will only make the league better in the future.
