Often times the Spartans knew that this noble mission would result in its talent taking their contributions and ability to other places to thrive. But those are the breaks….as today Offensive Coordinator Jeff Barnes has accepted the Head Coaching job for the Westchester Packers. Barnes directed the Spartan offense to a very successful Spring Tournament and BNEFF regular season. “Jeff is a great coach and the Packers made a wise choice, Jeff has a very deep knowledge of the game and his work ethic transfers to the players around him ” Coach Patterson said of the news and added, “we (the Spartans) are very happy for him, it will be very hard to replace him but I hear Eric Mangini is looking for a job today.”
